To whom it may concern (substitute name if possible)
We are currently working on a Micro-Credit training for care-givers/activists of orphaned children in Maputo, Mozambique. We would like to either obtain or be provided resources on the following:
Where can a person go to obtain a micro-credit?
How does a person acquire a micro-credit?
How is the micro-credit regulated?
What or whom determines the amount of the micro-credit?
Is it possible for individuals to either obtain a micro-credit or obtain additional micro-credits?
What are the characteristics of a successful and non-successful micro-business?
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

This is a copy of the letter I sent earlier to various MFIs in Maputo area. To date, I have received only one response, which is copied below my letter of introduction.
Dear Sir,
Greetings from California . I am a teacher in Pasadena, and currently working on my Master’s Degree in Education at Cal State Los Angeles. As part of completing my program, I am hoping to create a project about microfinance. My project will center around a group of caregivers and activists working with the NGO Reencontro near Maputo . I will be creating a training manual that will explain to these individuals the whole concept of microcredit and how they can access and use microcredit.
If you would please answer a few questions I have about microfinancing in Maputo I would be very grateful. Your assistance and expertise will be an immense help in my efforts to create a project that will hopefully be very beneficial and significant to these individuals. My questions include the following:
1. What are the types of loans that you offer clients? Is there a typical size of loan and length of the term of the loan?
2. What are the average amounts of loans that you offer potential clients?
3. Does your institution offer individual and group loans?
4. What are the qualifications to apply and receive a loan?
5. Is there a process for applying for a second loan after the first loan is repaid?
If you have the time I would greatly appreciate any response you can give to these questions. Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
